Childcare Provider – Early Childhood Educator (NYC & Westchester)
B & J Wonderland Day Care is seeking a dedicated and experienced Childcare Provider / Early Childhood Educator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a caring, energetic professional who is passionate about nurturing young children in a safe, engaging, and educational environment.
The Childcare Provider will work closely with the On-Site Provider and leadership team to support daily classroom operations while delivering high-quality care for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
Key Responsibilities
Provide constant direct supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of all children
Implement daily age-appropriate educational activities and curriculum
Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
Prepare, serve, and assist with meals and snacks
Perform diaper changes and bathroom assistance as needed
Assist with nap time routines and classroom transitions
Complete daily reports, attendance tracking, and electronic documentation
Plan, implement the daily activities and curriculum
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
Communicate with parents in a friendly, professional, and respectful manner
Follow all health, safety, licensing, and sanitation guidelines

Qualifications & Skills
Prior experience in a licensed daycare, preschool, or early childhood setting
2 or more years of experience caring for children in a paid or unpaid position
CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
Able to carry up to 50 lbs
Available to work as needed any time Monday-Friday between 7am-7pm
Basic technology literacy
Must meet state-specific guidelines
Genuine passion for children and early education
Strong patience, nurturing, and communication skills
Ability to remain calm, positive, and attentive in a fast-paced environment
Professional appearance and behavior
Ability to work as part of a team
CDA Certificate a PLUS
Subject to Fingerprint and background approval by the Department of Health
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
